A whole day for all things literacy based! We were invited to SGS to take part.
Over the morning of 8th September, we ran four consecutive workshops, meeting about 120 year 8 students in 4 hours – phew! Armed with a bunch of promo codes, stacks of paper and buckets of felt tips we set about on a giant creative writing, story conceiving, novel worthy morning of imagination.
We cannot emphasise the extend that students imaginations will run to. We had stories of evil twins, war themed epics, awkward teenage diaries, tales of upside down princesses, colourful monsters, lost socks, ghosts and even protagonist lemons.
It was a total (exhausting) joy to be amongst such passionate and creative individuals and I hope they enjoyed the morning a much as we did! A huge thank you to Cheryse Rahaman for inviting us and to the lower school library for hosting us.
We’ve got the kind permission of the parents and school to show you some photos of the day. Enjoy!
